I found the artwork and the overall quirkyness of this game so engaging. The pure imagination that went into this - the backgrounds, the game play, and the characters, is similar to Mirror Mask (anyone see that film?). If you like puzzles, and whimsical flare, this game is for you!!

Seriously? Machinarium is the best game in Apple Store! Id buy San Andreas its a classic but sometimes you get tired of it…Id buy others games and many times its bugs. But Machinarium its the best! No bug, its difficult but at the same time its relax because of the music, the graphic its so perfect, VERY intelligent game! Nothing better! … Botaniculas the same thing! I love it! Amanita Design they make a very great games for Apple! I hope they will make other games!

I have re-started this game 3 times due to loss of saved game play. Each time I have saved in slot 1, close the game, re-open, nothing there. New game is the only option. Too bad it cost so much for a flawed game. The developers should do something to fix this and if not, then guess they only want the money and really do not worry about the problems that they have caused for us.

very engaging and fun, I couldn’t put it away. I wish there were multiple ways to solve so I could play again and again. Keep making more games! middle aged white guy.

This game is by far one of the best puzzle games I own. It is totally worth the price and I love playing it over and over again. It can last a while if you don’t use the hints. The graphics are unbelievable. A successfull game.

This is the worst most frustrsting game I have ever played. Even doing step by step with a guide from the web, it was impossible to get very far. It is the least intuitive game I have ever played. When trying to get items out of the inventory or back in, you can get carpal tunnel clicking on it a few hundred times. The so called “inventory” is just a black screen and you have to guess where the stupid thing is clicking all over the top of the screen trying to drop what you want to get rid of or trying to pick up something that is totally hidden in the black. What a rip off. I want my money back!!!

Better than I expected. Some seemed borderline impossible to figure out (e.g. what to do with the flies, and I’m still not sure how I won the board game) and I just ended up blindly guessing everywhere, while others were very though-provoking and took me too many hours to solve (the owl!). All in all, well done. A more intriguing storyline would have earned 5 stars — though I’d give this 4.5 if I could.

Super cute! Played it with my 5yo who loves it. I’d estimate it took about 6 hrs to complete at a leisurely pace. Kiddo wanted to solve as much of it as he could, but definitely needed help with parts (heck, i needed help with parts!!! Thank god for online walkthroughs!) He loved the characters and so did I. Would have been better if it was just a bit longer, which is why i didn’t give it 5 stars.

I downloaded this game purely because of the artwork. I say artwork because each screen is intricately designed. It is eerily beautiful and full of character. The game gets progressively harder and there are some difficult parts. However, you can get an in game hint, or if you are really stuck, you can open the walkthrough book, which is not that hard to do but Amanita have thought of a good way to make sure you dont open it every two minutes. The soundtrack is also beautiful and complements the game. I am not surprised it was available to buy as a soundtrack. I had a great time figuring the puzzles out. My only wish is that the game were bigger. Even if the game were double the size, I dont think I would have gotten bored with it. I expect great things from Amanita Design and I will be looking out for their next project.

I just finish the machinarium today and its very cool I recomend for everybody!!!!!

One of the best game experiences in my life. Visuals, music, puzzles, atmosphere - everything is so creative and well made. And a bit of a humor too.

In my version (downloaded in may 2012) thers a bug in the cats level, the cat cant die. En mi version (descargada en mayo 2012) hay un bag en el nivel de gato, no lo se puede matar. Nella mia versione (scaricata a maggio 2012) cè un bug nel livello del gatto, non muore.

Finished this in just a couple of days. Some levels are not passable without hints. Otherwise, the artwork is absolutely brilliant and its a fun experience.

Easily the best thing weve ever downloaded from the App Store. Its awesome! But were having the oddest problem with it right now. We hadnt played it in a few months, and when we opened it recently there was no audio. Everything else plays fine, less this one game. I contacted the company and theyd never heard of this glitch before, and they suggested deleting the game and reloading. Im waiting for feedback from Apple on that proposal.

I give up on this game. I have tried to save repeatedly but just end up frustrated when I switch my computer back on and my saved game is no longer available.

Everytime I save it looks as if the save was successful, but after closing and coming back to the game at a later time my save progress is gone and I have to start from the beginning again. Ive read all the forum postings on their site, but my settings are all correct.

Little puzzle games like this are the best, it definitely kept me busy outside of work! The art is really unique and fun, good show!
